Jack and his partner Dave are everything that youd want in a contractor and more We are big doityourselfers and had renovated every room in our house prior to the kitchen renovation We knew it was far too big of an undertaking to do ourselves and iJack and his partner Dave are everything that youd want in a contractor and more We are big doityourselfers and had renovated every room in our house prior to the kitchen renovation We knew it was far too big of an undertaking to do ourselves and it required a lot of technical expertise that we didnt possess We live in a log cabin so there isnt a single wall that is level or plumb everything is a challengennWe had initially asked Jack is he had ever taken on a log cabin renovation in the past and he was up front with us and told us that he hadnt But he assured us that there wasnt a renovation or challenge you could throw at him that he couldnt handle and man was he right On top of this being the largest renovation to date in our log cabin we were also pregnant 7 months to be exact when we demoed everything so this was a difficult and stressful time for my very strong wife Jack and Dave went above and beyond in every aspect of the project In my opinion there are three vital components of a great contractor and they nailed each of thesenn1 Communication Jack overcommunicatesin a good way He always let us know when he was on his way over and what days we was going to be over to work on the kitchen He provided consistent status updates via text throughout the reno I had a response to every text I sent him within minutes if not seconds If I had to call him for a more pressing question he always answered I never got his voicemailn2 Transparency He was very up front about the cost timeline etc He broke everything down within the estimate by the job vs just an overall estimate like a couple of other contractors did And his estimate was competitive and aligned with the market He knew that we wanted to handle some of the jobs ourselves to cut down on the total cost and he just subtracted those jobs out from the grand total no questions askedn3 Quality Work I am very OCD when it comes to everything being perfect and he took that to another level The skills and craftsmanship this guy possesses are truly mindblowing and every little thing he did was perfect He legitimately could and should have his own show on HGTVnnThats enough rambling on I think you get the point by now If you are looking to renovate your home look no further Your expectations will be met and exceeded if you choose F J Construction A in every aspect Thank you so much for making our new kitchen dreams come truennKyle Sarah Schianmore ...hide ...
