The property manager said something about my nice furniture, but I didn't think anything of it. After my mother passed away, I left several messages to come back to DC for her services, offering to pay rent when I returned unless there was another option. However, I received no response and two weeks later had an eviction notice on my door - with no call or email prior. When I tried talking to the property manager about it she refused conversation so I should have sued them but at that time felt too drained from losing my mother. To make matters worse she also sold the furniture given from my mom and let others take what they wanted from the residence-which wasn't kept up properly anyway. Life has taught me a lesson in being careful of people like her - all of those items were special memories before my mom passed away and she had the audacity to listen to voicemails and simply sell them off or take what she wanted? All in all this experience has made me stronger over time, so if you're considering this place don't bother - zero stars!more ...hide ...

Roaches have been a problem due to my unpleasant neighbors, and even after making numerous complaints, nothing has been done. When I was pregnant with my son, I asked to be moved to a larger apartment, but I was told I had to have five people living in my two-bedroom place in order to be relocated. Then, I had an accident with my toilet and was told I had to pay for the plumbing bill before I could move. Now they are saying the toilet is damaged, preventing me from moving even though I asked to relocate last year when I was expecting. This is a low-income apartment complex, but I had hoped they would be more helpful to their tenants. The roaches in my home were not brought in by me, and I keep my place clean, yet I am still having to deal with this infestation. I would not suggest to anyone to live here as the management does not respond to grievances and take them into account.more ...hide ...

My neighbors are up all night and my kids can't rest either. I've called several times to complain but they say there's nothing they can do. The management has changed, but the situation hasn't improved. I'm missing work due to lack of sleep and they say they can't help. Their policy of having quiet time from 11pm-7am is pointless if they don't enforce it. I feel like the people living in this HUD housing are looked down upon, even though we all have gone through some kind of hardship. We come here to get back on our feet but we don't get any respect or peace. It's sad that I have to give a star, but no stars are deserved. That's the only way I can post this.more ...hide ...
