Edit Rental Inquiry My name is Melissa Lawson and I am currently homeless. My story was in the paper recently about my situation. I discovered last month that I have cancer and will soon be needing surgery. I am in need of a place to stay to recover, when I have my surgery. I just got an Emergency Section 8 voucher that�s valid until the end of June. That will cover my time to recover from the surgery. The voucher is for a 1-bdrm, and it will need to be a ground-floor apartment. Do you accept Section 8 vouchers? Do you allow pets? I have my small dog, who is my emotional support animal. Do you have anything available for short-term stay?
