After one week of my child attending the Summer program, I had to take him out. On the second day, I brought him in at 9:10am and was told that I would be charged a $50 late fee, with the staff demanding that it be paid immediately. The staff also used inappropriate language when speaking amongst themselves. This type of language may not be something that all children are exposed to at home, so it is important to be aware of this. Additionally, rap and hip-hop music was playing, which may not include any foul language, but not every parent wants their child hearing this. It is suggested to play neutral, child-friendly music in a setting meant to nurture children. There was a small play area suitable for babies, but not bigger pre schoolers or kindergarten students. My child was even hit by an older kid with a bucket, and no one changed his shirt or even mentioned it until I questioned. Sadly, my child was not there for long enough to get a real sense of the activities, and there were no picture updates on the Bright wheel app throughout the day. We usually use YMCA Hunterdon County for our children, which offers football, soccer, swimming, sprinkler activities, and flexible drop-off. My expectations were too high for this center, and it may work for some parents, but it was not the right fit for usmore ...hide ...
