This place was much more pleasant in the early 2000s. TThis place was much more pleasant in the early 2000s. There were after-school programs for kids in the recreation room in building 4, summer activities such as arts and crafts for kids, with breakfast and lunch being served and summer talent shows. There was a basketball hoop in the courts, and summer block parties. The elderly were kept separate from everyone else. If you called for a work order, it would be handled almost immediately. Now, however, this place has gone downhill. It takes forever to walk to your apartment, and they have tried to make it more of a closed community, with two guards. Everyone from Hyatt Court and Rosevelts has moved in, and it's just not the same. They are even converting storage rooms into apartments. Rodents and cockroaches are still an issue, and there are water bugs on the sidewalk near the compactor rooms. When I visit, I stay for an hour, and no more. This place needs to do better or be demolished. Furthermore, when people order from Amazon it usually says their apartment number, not 17 Oxford Street. You are responsible for any packages that go missing from the front office. Your security should identify anyone who takes a package. Why not turn the rec room into an Amazon delivery room like many other complexes have? Everyone should be identified!more ...hide ...

When this city block size apartment building opens up in the early 20th century it was actually a privately funded low income housing development Now it is a slum a shadow of its former self
