Through the last 8 months, there has been no end or limit to the issues with these apartments. We have gone down countless times to the office to come to solutions with no response. Nothing was looked at until we submitted an email stating that if the issues were not resolved we would be leaving the complex in 60 days. The management do not show any regard for the living conditions of their tenants. To start, the apartment reeks of smoke. No matter how much cleaning (including washing the walls) is done, due to the improperly sealed doors and windows, the smell stays in everything. It makes our clothing, dishes, furniture, etc smell no matter how much they are washed. As someone allergic to cigarette smoke, I have had to get skin medication to try and clear up the severe rashes caused by the smoke and bugs in the apartment. We did not have a functioning oven for over 3 months despite emailing, calling, and physically going down to the office on numerous occasions. This was only fixed once we threatened to leave. When we contacted the office about the mold and mold smell in our bathroom, he laughed and said that it wasn€™t mold. We also pointed out the hole in our ceiling and the water damage in the living room, and he just said €œyeah there€™s bad roof leaking issues here€. There is mold in the bathroom pipes, as well as in the window sills. The tub and tiles are peeling, there are roaches beyond belief. When they €œrenovated€ they painted over lots of bugs and roaches, so in corners there are dead bugs. We left for a weekend and came back to roaches on our fridge, all over our kitchen and bed etc. We are VERY clean people. We vacuum and deep scrub regularly. There is no reason for all the bugs. We submitted a maintenance request, and while they came in and supposedly sprayed (there was just a card left on the counter and they closed the maintenance request) it has not resolved any issues. There is a hole in our kitchen cupboard that was pointed out in the initial walkthrough that has yet to be fixed, the kitchen cupboards were painted while dirty and so there are webs stuck in the cupboards. The cupboards smell of mold and mildew, causing us to have to rewash any dishes that come out of the cupboards before using them. The neighbors are constantly arguing and loud making it hard to even sleep at night. We cannot wait to get out of this apartment, and are trying to get out sooner if possible.more ...hide ...
