Even though the reviews were not promising, nothing could have prepared me for my 11 months there. If you don't read any further, here is what you need to know: The water would turn off once a month for repairs and run brown afterwards; three fires occurred in less than 10 months in the 795 and 785 units. To not be completely negative, kindly note that the neighbors were friendly enough and parking lot/sidewalks were kept up during snowfalls. My unit had been given new carpet, linoleum, kitchen counters, bathroom sink due to new management; windows, bathroom mirror and bathroom lighting also replaced during my stay there. When I got my deposit back, it was full amount. Apart from these three fires and monthly brown/yellow water issues, I had recurring leaks in my ceiling as well; it turned out a pipe was put there that wasn't even on the building plan! It was comprised of 10" strips of copper soldered together - hence all those leaks - which made me question how safe the building actually is considering what past owners may have done to it. Other things that bothered me included not being able to run my bathroom fan due to cigarette smoke constantly entering from neighbors smoking in their bathrooms; also living near a road meant no peace until 2-5am when all became quiet. more ... hide ...

I went with my son and his girlfriend when they rented an apartment here The woman that was the manager at the time was extremely nice When we looked at the apartment they said the carpeting needed replacing as did the appliances In front of me they I went with my son and his girlfriend when they rented an apartment here The woman that was the manager at the time was extremely nice When we looked at the apartment they said the carpeting needed replacing as did the appliances In front of me they told them that they had a choice of renting it at the posted monthly rent if they left the old appliances and just clean the carpet or they could replace it all at an increase They opted to have it left as is All this is documented At the time they rented the neighbors were quiet As time went on the manager was no longer there and there were people sleeping in the hallways and climbing balconys to get into apartments They did bring this and many other things to the apartment manager attention Some things were addressed some were not They had the opportunity to buy our house and asked what they would owe to get out of the lease They were told an amount and provided it along with the 30 day notice When my son walked them through the apartment the woman commented on how she was impressed how clean the apartment was left So after these two one is 19 and one is 20 were never delinquent paid 4000 to get out of the lease which they will rent out that apartment and basically be double dipping for rent They had the nerve to send them a bill for 150 for damages which included them taking their security deposit That carpet was trashed when they rented it It was still wet from them cleaning it when they moved in There were a few little things25 here or they that they said they knew they would be responsible for but not the carpet Not many kids that age are this responsible and they did everything they were supposed to do They should be ashamed of themselves They have a legal responsibility to mitigate damages and rent this apartment to someone else And to return the difference to me son and his girlfriend Guess they will see you in court I am the first person to tell them if there is something they should have done it needs to do to make things right They did exactly what they were supposed to do and Im proud of them Oh and did I mention They were always on time with their rent Stellar tenants Took responsibility for what they needed to and then somennAnd they had my review removed from yelp because it wasnt first hand experience I was there during the rental and dealt with the original manager I was there for everything that was told to them And they refused mediation to resolve this issue without going to court more ... hide ...
