I would be giving less than one star if I could. It has been more than four months since I wrote a check to a company in Florida, but it ended up being cashed by DTE and deposited in a Fifth Third account instead. It has been more than four months since I wrote a check to a company in Florida, but it ended up being cashed by DTE and deposited in a Fifth Third account instead. Since then, my efforts to get back the $31,645.63 have been futile. If this happened to their money, they would be upset too! They promised me the money will be re-entered into my account at a certain date which already passed. DTE claims the money is already returned to me but that is not true as Fifth Third holds it somewhere else now. Furthermore, without notice from them our branch office in Williamston was closed and we are now obligated to go to Okemos during this summer's heavy traffic mess! This isn't even my first problem with Fifth Third - I once saw them handing my business account information to another client leaving the building and had no choice but chase after them for my checking details! When they gave me a number afterwards that couldn't help with business accounts either, I did contact Matt at Okemos Branch again after over 4 months and he didn't even remember me! Now they say 24 hours is all it takes for the funds back into my account - let's wait and see... more ... hide ...
