The landlord is now threatening to evict me since I called the health department about my stove and refrigerator not working for the past month. I informed them that my oven wouldn't heat up, my fridge was warm and my food had molded after a few days. Maribel from the leasing office even asked me to give away my 1 and 4 year old children's toys as they were taking up too much space in the tiny room along with the twin bed, pack n play, and my daughter's jeep and kitchen set. Not only that, she refused to tell me where to store my dirty laundry, which was placed in a basket and laundry bags in front of my malfunctioning washer and in the corner. I was taken aback when she suggested donating my kids' toys to Goodwill and then denied ever saying it only 30 minutes later. With my eight broken ribs, I am expected to walk several blocks to the laundromat. It's been a month now and still my oven and refrigerator have not been fixed. I'm just going to wait until the health inspector calls in two weeks to let them know. Maintenance misled the man and said that new smoke detectors were given to everyone in December and asked what I had done with mine. I can't stand liars. more ...
