We had multiple interviews with Ms. Elizabeth Orchard, a tour of the property and a chance for our mom to visit and be involved in some of the activities before moving in. In January 2020, Mom moved into Malta House, then the pandemic hit in March. During that period, she was kept safe and well taken care of by the personnel of Malta House. The staff kept us informed of the CDC and State regulations as they changed and provided us with limited access to our mother, so she was not feeling detached from us and we were not feeling disconnected from her. The staff are competent, loving and considerate. Activities for the occupants are restricted due to the pandemic, but I wish that will change soon. The rooms and communal areas are in good condition.
