Two family members live or have lived at St Elizabeths Hall What a warm and inviting place with beautiful views and a nice dining room There are lots of activities and many services on site People are very friendly too
Well first and foremost if I could give a Half of a star I would I am a disabled adult under 63 so therefore I was allowed to move into these so called Independent Living Apartments It was one of their HUD based apartments so thats how I was able to Well first and foremost if I could give a Half of a star I would I am a disabled adult under 63 so therefore I was allowed to move into these so called Independent Living Apartments It was one of their HUD based apartments so thats how I was able to move in I applied on July 9th and was told I got the place and could move in on Aug 10th I paid my 1st months rent my deposit and my pet deposit on Aug 9th but was misinformed about the Mandatory Dining Hall Fee of 255 one Must pay every month Regardless if you eat there or not I was told by the former manager that it was something we could use if we Chose to Not that it was Mandatory If its Independent Living then were independent enough to cook for ourselves But they said its mandatory and that I have to pay it So that means All 200 apartmentsif just 1 person lived in it has to pay 255 a month x 200 Apts 51000 a Month then x that by 12 months 612000 a Year These people are extorting Independent adults and making 612000 A Year from it Also that day Aug 9th we did the walk through and found out that my apartment wasnt even touched Not cleaned not painted and No new rugs When she asked maintenance why the place wasnt done he told her because she said the wrong apartment number They did another one instead of mine And then had the nerve to ask me if I could wait another week before I moved in I was already off my lease and out of the place I was and my moving crew was coming the next day So I had to move into a dirty unpainted apt with filthy carpets and keep my stuff in the middle of the room for a week before the painters came I had to clean my own place before I could unpack and in the 2 years I lived there I Never got my new carpet I told the manager twice and went above her and told her boss and still no new carpets It took them months to repair the broken doors they never replaced the weatherstripping around my door and the plumbing in the kitchen was always backing up in the sink For a Catholic Charity owned apartment complex they arent very Christian like treating their residents like that Extortion and neglectthats just wrong The Only Good thing about the place is the select few employees in housekeepingtheyre Great the HUD managershes Awesome NOT the former overall manager and a few employees in the dining halltheyre Cool and a handful of the residents So overall I rate this place a half starand thats being generousmore ...hide ...
My mom had wrote this regarding my grandmothernnThis hell hole doesnt deserve one star my mother moved into an independent apartment in oct 2018in 6 months shes had to deal with having no air conditioning when it was hot no heat when it got cold a brMy mom had wrote this regarding my grandmothernnThis hell hole doesnt deserve one star my mother moved into an independent apartment in oct 2018in 6 months shes had to deal with having no air conditioning when it was hot no heat when it got cold a broken hot water heater a broken garbage disposal sink still doesnt drain properly after it was supposedly fixed Power outage of over a week There have been confirmed cases of legionnaires disease and norovirus To deal with legionnaires the residents were told to not cook brush their teeth soak their dentures bathe or wash their hands with the water coming out of the faucets They delivered cases of bottled water for the residents to use they got 2 cases a week for about a 3 to 4 weeks Oh and lets not forget the bedbugs and lice This place is atrocious Ive contacted the health department channel 11 and channel 13 to no avail The residents are required to purchase a 25000 meal ticket each month Whatever money is left over is not carried over to the next month they forfeit that money Thats quite a nice little racket theyve got going on there I am a cook serve safe certified My mom also worked in food service I know the temperature of safe food We went to the dining hall and they had shrimp creole over rice The rice was not even warm much less hot Rice is a protein high moisture content and if not at proper temperature spores will form and jump to whatever food is around it And the price for this 1295 A chicken dinner is supposed to be a breast mashed potatoes gravy 2 veggies She went to the dining hall and was given a small chicken leg scoop of mashed potatoes a veggie cost almost 900 The residents had a meeting in the dining all and one of the other residents said the food was garbage Thats when cindy explained that the cook had actually died around october maybe she consumed the food and they hadnt gotten a replacement yet Seriously six months and they cant find a replacement When she moved in the track on the sliding door on her tub was off the track it was finally fixed in december when my husband did it The water that comes out of the faucet is cloudy even after she lets it run for 5 minutes When she held up a glass it was so cloudy she couldnt see through water They randomly come and check the water Also the maintenance crew can let themselves into her apartment at any time whether shes there or not We are talking about elderly men and women Shes afraid if she goes in the bathroom to shower there could be a man in her apartment when she comes out Yes they knock but if theyre going to enter a private apartment someone should call and let them know If its an emergency its understandable but randomly checking apartments Sorry that is just not right She wants to move out and ive found her a place When she went and told cindy the manager she was given a vacate package She will lose her security deposit of 1 000 and must pay them 3 month rent I find that unacceptable This place is not a safe secure healthy living environment Do not put your loved ones here They will experience elder abusenPeople are moving out en masse This is not the wonderful place it was 1215 years agomore ...hide ...
