Recently, some of the tenants' family members have been calling the Herald in an attempt to get their voices heard. However, the resident manager denied all claims of ever hearing tenants complain about the issues, except for within the past 2-3 months. There is mold and other toxins present in the walls, ceilings, bathroom fans and vanities. Public health has been working with tenants and as of late, only 2 air quality tests have been done. I myself have had ongoing bronchitis since I moved here in May 2013. I am allergic to everything under the sun; some of my allergies have steadily worsened over time. Several of us have lost family and friends within the past year or so, most due to breathing or cancer-related illnesses. The mold and other chemicals being used to "cover up" these mold spots have created more issues. If management would fix these issues, the tenants would be much better off, but we don't seem to matter to them. It seems as if we are seen as cattle being led to slaughter. As long as the company can make money, they don't care what happens to the people living here. There are still two tenants and their families who do care and are fighting for themselves as well as for other tenants here.
