The way this one company deals with disabled people and tenants who have been living in the building for an extended period of time is simply unacceptable. They do not listen to any information or take the time to educate their employees on how to deal with those with a traumatic brain injury. I am thankful that I do not have to live in any of their housing and that my mother experienced many negative interactions with the company. It is outrageous that they lack compassion and are not helping to find housing for the disabled in winter. It is my hope that others notice this review and that the company will not take it down. The Great Northern building is in an ideal spot, close to the grocery store (Leevers), the post office, a coffee shop, the library, government offices, restaurants, the Senior Meals Center and Devils Lake Transit. It has a great property management c The Great Northern building is in an ideal spot, close to the grocery store (Leevers), the post office, a coffee shop, the library, government offices, restaurants, the Senior Meals Center and Devils Lake Transit. It has a great property management company (MetroPlains) with an app for requesting maintenance and paying rent. Maintenance requests have been dealt with swiftly; plus there's an office onsite if you need to speak with staff. The building itself is well-looked after both inside and out - there's a trash chute for 2nd/3rd floor residents & new appliances in apartments. Furthermore, its elevator makes getting upstairs easy! The only downside is the noise from trains - which I'm used to now - and all furniture being removed from lobby as it was attracting undesirables who didn't live there. Understandably why it was done but it's still disappointing for residents as this area could be used for them to get together & get acquainted. There are tables in basement but no views of lobby from down there either! All-in-all though this is a great apartment building! more ... hide ...

I have been renting from them for three years now and I will say I couldnt be happier with the service I receive If there ever is a problem it is taken care of that day Love this rental property
