Whether it be because of low wages, too much work, or favoritism, it is apparent that these employees are only there for the paycheck. I am not saying that I would do any better if I had to deal with a community suffering from mental illnesses and addiction; however, I do understand my own limits. There are many other organizations that need help. If you feel like you are avoiding your clients or losing your sense of caring, it would be wise to move on. You are not doing anyone any good when you make excuses for clear negligence. Despite my case manager being new, I can still feel the pressure from higher management, and I am disheartened by what I observe. I have tried to be kind and respect the hierarchy, but it seems my opinion is not important enough for them to return my calls or consider my worries. Therefore, I must speak out in a different way. I hope they will see this and understand that my comment is not an attack on any individual, but rather, the organization as a whole. Please adhere to the mission that you proclaim and practice what you preach. Otherwise, those of us who are capable of expressing ourselves will continue to voice our opinions until someone listens.more ...hide ...
