I gave two months notice but was still charged a lease break fee, which was two months plus the four months of the pending lease term. My advice is to only sign up for leases for the period of time you need; it is better to pay an extra $100-$150 each month for a shorter lease than to be taken advantage of with a lease break fee. In two months, any landlord should be able to find a new tenant, but my years of living there were not taken into consideration. Three years ago, I was forced to move to another Brandywine apartment due to water issues in the old one, and was still charged a hefty $1,000 renovation fee. Complaints went unheard. The cleanliness of the apartments is very poor and common areas are rarely cleaned in bad weather. I would never recommend this place or come back myself. Don't try to save a few dollars and end up paying more. There is no gym, large community area, or pool, but they are attempting to compete with other properties in the area by offering slightly lower rents (about $50-100 per month).more ...hide ...

They say they have white curtains from the outside, but people have broken blinds, hanging towels that look gross, and trashy windows. Clothes are hung on the railings outside the apartment complex to dry, and they let their clothes mildew in the washers, making them unavailable for other tenants to use. The noise is all night long, and people sleep during the day. Inside is outdated too, and the manager smokes all day outside with no thought to the noise or filth. The large lease states that cleanliness is a must, but they allow people and windows that are not kept in good condition. Classy managers tell the tenants that they should maintain a rational level of cleanliness for other tenants, but the price is high with no care or class. It's okay to be trashy in the wealthy town of Guilderland, even though the lease implies otherwise. It's shocking that they allow such filthiness, as the windows alone prove it, with broken mini blinds scattered throughout the complex. The siding is also filthy. Do not come here unless you live in filth already.more ...hide ...
