The clients are mostly active drug users, making it difficult to work on any realistic goals. The Supported Housing Director doesn't act on behalf of the workers, who are treated as inferior to other departments and the clients. She also hires lots of her students, creating an unfair work atmosphere with frequent favoritism between "friends/classmates". The head of Long Island operations has a fake and insincere demeanor. The CEO/CCO outwardly act pleasant, but then make remarks to your supervisor about coming in too early/late. Human Resources is useless; if someone wants you gone, you're gone. Case managers are made to take personal responsibility for their clients that the agency collects rent from. It's as if they have adopted them, and no matter how much you help your coworkers or the clients, it doesn't matter to upper management. If they decide they want you gone, there's no warning or write ups; it's just like working in a bagel shop or pizzeria. Morale in the Medford office is low, and everyone is stressed with the overwhelming case loads. Telling the truth and using the time you've accrued will result in punishment. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this agency; it doesn't live up to its name and is just a complete joke.more ...hide ...
