My apartment has wooden floors, a stainless kitchen sink, and all the appliances are modern and efficient (I had never had that combination before). Anything that needs to be mended is fixed. It is peaceful and pleasant. The building is made of cement/cinder-block and is the quietest apartment building I've ever inhabited. (Neighbors are neighbors. Even yelling from the adjacent apartment sounds like a faint, muffled TV that one needs to focus on in order to hear.) The Home Forward management team has been nothing but helpful ever since I moved in. There are continuous programs that provide seniors and disabled individuals with services to bring down rent, food, energy, and/or utility expenses. All of this needs to abide by government regulations; I'm sure the posts are not highly paid, yet again the people in charge here have exceeded my apprehensive expectations.
