We weren't allowed to have a rug on the floor unless it was attached to the carpet via velcro for "safety" reasons. I found the velcroed carpets to be even more hazardous than leaving it be. I was often threatened with eviction during the yearly inspections if my oven didn't look as though it had been just installed. Cooking in your oven at least 3 days a week shows that it's being used. There was never any mess, just the appearance of daily use. Rachel, the manager, didn't care. Even though my oven didn't seem to be a fire hazard, I took pictures and told a lawyer. He said that if she had tried to evict me, we would have won the case right then and there. She would have lost paperwork and caused an unhealthy amount of stress. After I moved, I didn't find out until a year later that they charged me an exorbitant amount of money for repairs, painting, and carpets that are now on my credit report because I didn't know there was anything to pay off. I lived there for five years, but the wear and tear laws as outlined in the Oregon State Legislation in the Tenant Landlord Act seemed to mean nothing to Rachel. more ... hide ...

The apartments are nice for a income based apartments I would like to see the Manager of the property FIRED for harassment loosing my rent check and being outright racist Other than that love the apartments Just wish there was better management
