It was in a state of disrepair, but Summit Gardens was able to provide us with an affordable, functional one. My husband joined us the following year, and we lived in two separate buildings that were kept clean and had repairs done promptly. To ensure our apartment was free from bed bugs, we took extra precautionary measures. Through the housing program provided by Summit Gardens, my husband was able to graduate and find a rewarding career that would provide for our family. It also enabled me to go back to school. Although I think the rent payment scale is a bit unfair, I understand that this is not intended for those with jobs and once you are back on your feet, the plan is to motivate you to find a place of your own and make room for someone in need. We have since bought our own home, but I have only positive comments about Louise, the rest of the staff, and the whole facility. My advice to young people with families is to keep to yourself, keep the apartment clean, and be honest about who is living with you and your income, and you will have a safe, affordable place to stay while you figure out your future.more ...hide ...
