I applied again and received a response in two weeks. During my two years there I had a pleasant experience - any issues were dealt with promptly by the maintenance staff. My apartment was roomy, neat, and better than other places I had paid more for. There were a few baby roaches here and there, but nothing more than that. I never had any problems with anyone - the community was great. Management was wonderful; Amanda and Hannah were compassionate and willing to work with me. I would have stayed longer, but my expanding family needed more space. The complex was usually tidy, with the grounds well-maintained. Windsong is conveniently situated near Highway 169, Walmart, laundromats, Dollar General, and numerous restaurants. After visiting other low-income based places, I can say this was the best one. It has security, one-way driving, and wasn't as unclean as other places. Although there was litter around, some people just don't know what a dumpster is. The neighborhood may not be the best, but crime and danger can be found in nicer areas as well. I would give this place five stars. more ... hide ...

I have resided here for nearly seven years, and the issues I have experienced are remarkable. When I initially moved in, it was wonderful, but now it is disheartening. Nothing is being accomplished due to the fact that there is only one maintenance person. He is very disrespectful; I wrote a note expressing how I was treated, yet nothing was done. For three months, I have had to switch the hot water on and off from the hot water tank, as the water only stays warm for a few seconds because the water is constantly running. The light in my daughter's bathroom is LED and now it flickers due to it being out. Maintenance suggested bringing in a lamp, yet that has been around two months and still nothing has been done. The maintenance man is very disdainful not only to women, but to children as well. We are left with no other option than to just accept it. It is sorrowful that you pay rent, stay to yourself, however, the way they look after tenants is dreadful. They do not check on things or upkeep them. It was nice at the start, but now it is only getting worse. The neighbors do not care about respect, music loud, but still, nothing is done. I wish that matters get solved quickly, you should be content with where you live. With living conditions like this, and the lack of support, I hope matters change, more ... hide ...

I lived at Windsong for 8 years and believe me when I say that moving here is going to be one of your biggest regrets Management had been troubling here and there especially with compliance on maintenance but when the most recent managers arrived Wi I lived at Windsong for 8 years and believe me when I say that moving here is going to be one of your biggest regrets Management had been troubling here and there especially with compliance on maintenance but when the most recent managers arrived Windsong became a flaming downward spiral The incompetence along with poor character is baffling I received many notices on my door where management was entirely contradicting and the majority of them contained misspelled words and poor grammar There were a lot of instances where I never received a notice and they would still threaten me with a lease violation When I would be asked to provide documentation for eligibility and would provide it to them sometimes those documents would become misplaced by the office personnel but I would be given a notice of a lease violation for not cooperating with management They dont technically give a 24 hour notice when they are coming either They will place notices in the evening around 5 or 6 and come at 8 am in the morning Management was also having tenants back date and sign legal documents which is both unethical and illegal The tenants now have told me that they are finding any reason they can to evict the remaining tenants who were originally there when new management arrived Management has specifically targeted a mother with 3 small children and states that this tenant has allowed banned persons into their home Absolutely none of the allegations are true however the tenant was given 15 days to leave the property Im not sure how legal this is but they are definitely without empathy or ethics Honestly what is a single mother of 3 children with absolutely no income vacate that soon and all based on false information Windsong is taking advantage of lower income families Asbestos was found in multiple units but Im sure that management had and remains to have no intentions of investigating to see if the tenants were affected by its presence While the complex was under renovation many unsafe equipment supplies and tools were lying around the complex and management would blame the parents of any children who would pick up or play with the items instead of taking responsibility for the propertys safety environment Of course they are going to be pleasant while new tenants are moving in but their nightmare awaits for sure Dont bother trying to contact the corporate office for any help in resolving issues with management because they are also absent of empathy and ethics No one cared to listen about any issues I or fellow tenants were and still are having My advice is to communicate with management through email if possible Having documentation of communication may be the only evidence that could provide help in matters I still have almost every notice placed on my door in a folder in which displays the incompetence and contradicting character of management This review may seem over the top to many but it is a tiny fraction of what all was taking place in my living experience more ... hide ...
