Our family was looking for a new kitten and called this shelter The person over the phone did a prescreening with me and informed me that our dogs would need a NC Rabies vaccine as they do not recognize ones administered elsewhere I was able to sched Our family was looking for a new kitten and called this shelter The person over the phone did a prescreening with me and informed me that our dogs would need a NC Rabies vaccine as they do not recognize ones administered elsewhere I was able to schedule the appointment for the same time as I we were able to come view kittens The staff at the desk were prepared for our visit and super friendly The vaccines were quick and easy We then picked out our new kitten who we just adore The adoption staff member was very sweet and the process was smooth They even scheduled appointments at the Vet for us His wellness check went really well and we cant wait for many years of love from this little man Thank you all so much for bringing joy into our home more ... hide ...

Honestly they seemed fairly useless Our pets have always been treated like royalty We have always believed pets are inside and part of your family and if you cant do that you dont need one Life has dealt us a situation where we have had to get give a Honestly they seemed fairly useless Our pets have always been treated like royalty We have always believed pets are inside and part of your family and if you cant do that you dont need one Life has dealt us a situation where we have had to get give a pet away a long time ago and it about killed everyone in the family when we had to They asked about strays that were dropped off and we had taken care of in order to find homes for We were told if you feed a dog for 8 days it becomes yours never heard that before Now because we could not show proof of rabies on strays we were denied the right to adopt a pet I dont where records are kept for pets within 1520 years I know all the dogs we have ever owned as ours have been up to date on everything These folks made a really poor choice on this one more ... hide ...

Had a Stay dog at my house Called the pound and they said they couldnt pick him up because he may be someones property My dogs were being growled at he was eating their food and taking over their territory so I called again He left and returned with Had a Stay dog at my house Called the pound and they said they couldnt pick him up because he may be someones property My dogs were being growled at he was eating their food and taking over their territory so I called again He left and returned with flesh wounds The animal shelter came out and told me I could but antibiotic ointment on the dog I told him Im not take him and treat him before he attracts coyotes I had to call the manager officer who came out kept saying he couldnt take him off my property because he could be someones property He said the Key word my property I let him know I would be calling action9 and some how some way the was able to remove someone elses property from mineok wouldnt want one small misunderstanding to turn into many investigations Just do your jobs and quit making excuses when people call for an animal to be removed picked up from the shelter or lost more ... hide ...
