For the first few months, it was going great. No roaches, no maintenance problems or anything like that. Then it slowly became worse. First, maintenance issues became more frequent. We were calling them almost once a week to fix one thing or the other. Then came the roaches. 3-4 months in, we started to notice roaches in the kitchen and quickly called maintenance. They called in some exterminators and they sprayed some stuff but it barely did anything. We ended up having to call them back a few weeks later. A year in, it turned into a full on roach infestation. Roaches EVERYWHERE now. No matter how much we try, they just seem to keep on coming.Then, a big problem happened. Their water pipes burst. We, along with many other tenants had no water at all for 2 days. We had to resort to getting water from the taps outside just to take a shower.If all that wasnt worse enough, when our 12 month lease was supposed to come to a close in January of 2021, we were informed that they had no available apartments and that we may have to wait till April of the same year. April came and went and they still told us the same story¦ no apartments available. As of writing this, weve spent a year and a half on a 12 month lease. Even worse, we recently called in again and asked when they would have an apartment available and they told us its likely they wouldnt have one till next year, in 2022. Our only two options as of now is to wait for God knows how long or to break our overextended lease and have to pay over $400 (they actually said that)Our experience at Carriage House started great at first, but It quickly turned sour and now Im just waiting to be out of here. Some good things Ill give them though is that their rent is cheap and close to a lot of places, and that its along the IndyGo bus route.
