We just made the decision to have my mom spend her recovery from a broken femur at Mount Marie We were fortunate to have met the Liason Terrie while we were still in the hospital which helped greatly with our decision Having her emotional and spir We just made the decision to have my mom spend her recovery from a broken femur at Mount Marie We were fortunate to have met the Liason Terrie while we were still in the hospital which helped greatly with our decision Having her emotional and spiritual needs met as well as her physical was critical to us On the morning after her admission we were met by almost every team involved in her care PTOT nursing aides Activities A cognitive evaluation was done to assess her level of care related to her dementia When we arrived she was laughing and joking with the PTOT therapists and my anxiety about her adapting to where she will be spending the next several months of recovery rehab was replaced with a sense of peace knowing we had made a good decision in moving her to Mount Marie Everyone we engaged with without exception was concerned caring and professional Bed pan calls were answered in less than 2 Feeling relieved and blessed that mom will be getting compassionate care until she is ready to come home more ... hide ...
