Management is completely unconcerned and they deceive you about the quality of the building. The smoke alarm goes off whenever I cook and that's probably because it's placed too close to the stove. There's barely any parking, so they can charge you an extra fifty dollars a month for parking in the garage. My car has been broken into and I've seen people sleeping on the stairs. Yelling and shouting matches in the parking lot take place all the time. Some of the residents had to be taught not to dig through the dumpster, which gives you an idea of the kind of environment this is. Don't let anyone deceive you into thinking otherwise. For being "affordable housing", it's not really within reach unless you're living on a social security check. Then your rent would be proportionate to the worth of this place. If you have a proper job, this place is definitely not worth the cost. Signing a lease here was a grave mistake and as soon as I'm able to, I'll willingly surrender my security deposit just to get out. In a couple of years, this place will be in a sorry state, since the buildings have been put together badly and the inhabitants have no respect for the area or their neighbors. more ... hide ...

Not everyone receives their checks on the third of the month; some SSD recipients don't get paid until the fourth week, so they can't pay their rent on time. It would be understandable if someone was two or three months behind, but why should they be sent an eviction notice every month if they are paying within the same month? This was incredibly irritating to us...We paid our rent plus the late fee. The townhouse itself was really nice, with spacious rooms. Unfortunately, the walls are paper thin, so you can hear your neighbors' activities like running, talking, etc. They are also very sluggish when it comes to fixing things in the house. As for the community staff, Colette and Karla were both very friendly and helpful to us when we needed it most. So please don't blame them for things beyond their control, as they are subject to their superiors' rules.
