To begin with, the only requirement for renting a unit here was to have money - which was proven true when my car was broken into within the first week. Despite this, I was stuck in a lease and the location was ideal, so I stayed. Adding insult to injury, when I moved into the 'move in ready updated unit', there was no electricity! I had to wait a whole week until they rewired it all properly. When I requested a discount for the inconvenience, they ignored me. The absolute worst thing about this place was the lack of privacy. I'm a young woman living alone, and I should feel secure in my locked apartment, but the maintenance man - who looked like he was on drugs - would come in without a written notice. There was even a time when I was in the shower and he opened the bathroom door without me knowing! He said he was there to 'spray for bugs', but he had no pesticides or equipment. When I left, they didn't return my deposit, despite the apartment being in better condition than when I moved in. I would not recommend anyone to live there - the police are often spotted, and the landlord, Rodger, is a slumlord who has no consideration for his tenants. more ... hide ...
