This is a very unique place and a great first apartment for someone just starting out without a lot of money The building is over 100 years old so its not without its problems but any issue Ive had was resolved quickly and professionally Although all This is a very unique place and a great first apartment for someone just starting out without a lot of money The building is over 100 years old so its not without its problems but any issue Ive had was resolved quickly and professionally Although all the units are enclosed within the building Ive never had any problem with noisy neighbors Everyone Ive met has been incredibly nice You need a key fob to get inside so Ive never really felt unsafennThe building is next door to a fire station and the police station is down the street a bit so be prepared to hear sirens at any and all hours of the daynight Its not frequent enough to really bother me personally but I can understand why it might put some people off Theres also a train that runs through townnnThe building is within walking distance of a lot of different restaurants and shops in Hammonds downtown area and close to a parking lot that is occasionally blocked off for fun special eventsnnI can only speak about my own experience living at Hammond Eastside School Apartments but overall Ive been very happy with my stay more ... hide ...
