It appears that the internet provides a platform for such views. The reality of The Residence at Oakridge is that we are a family who deeply cares for the people we serve, both Residents and Employees. We have an incomparable, devoted group of volunteers. Half of the workers on payroll have been here for more than a decade, and are the cream of the crop in this industry. It's true that we are not perfect, but one thing is definite: we are devoted and face a lot of responsibility in our jobs and provide more than what other Assisted Livings offer. We have outstanding Physicians, Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners, Registered Nurses, Podiatrists, Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Speech Therapists who visit us often. Ask any of them about the care we give our Residents and they will give you an honest report. Please remember us if you are aware of anyone needing Assisted Living; we accept Medicaid and our Private Pay amount is lower than everyone else's. I have been connected to The Residence at Oakridge for the past five years. My adoptive Mom and brother were residents. After my adoptive mother passed away, and my brother went to a facility that provided more support, I have been pouring coffee fou I have been connected to The Residence at Oakridge for the past five years. My adoptive Mom and brother were residents. After my adoptive mother passed away, and my brother went to a facility that provided more support, I have been pouring coffee four mornings a week and helping residents with various tasks, such as shifting furniture and putting up shelves, as well as assisting with activities that involve moving boxes. During my time engaging with a majority of the residents, I have had the chance to observe both the staff and the residents. Over the years I have heard grievances from some of the residents, but I can honestly say that the majority of them are minor, and are always addressed, though they are usually from the same individuals who are never contented with the amount of staff help. I have the highest respect for the compassionate staff. Everyone from the administrator to the medical personnel to the maintenance crew are first-rate. The whole team has always treated the residents with consideration and, from what I have seen, they are doing their best to provide the residents with all they need. The Kitchen Lead has made considerable efforts to take care of any complaints the residents have raised while he has asked for feedback on the menu. As with any facility, nothing is perfect, but in comparison to the other places I have visited, I would put The Residence at Oakridge close to the top of my list.Dean Gebhardt more ... hide ...
