The manager of the Nantucket Loft Apts said we had to provide a thirty day notice or pay a fee; however we moved out after just two weeks because we did not want someone else taking the other apartment available. My husband gave them their key but the manager never showed up on Monday when he checked twice for her. A few weeks later, we received a letter from Winston Salem demanding $325 for not giving them enough notice and using the key for two days even though I was no longer living there. We refused to pay it initially but eventually accepted the fee years later when thinking about moving back there again due to high rent prices; so instead, decided against returning altogether. more ...
