I AM A 51 YRS OLD FEMALE WHOM HAVE 2 BIRDS MY VOUCHER IS FROM THE SOUTH TUCSON HOUSING AUTHORTY INCOME IS SSDI I NEED TO MOVE IN BY THE END OF THE MONTH

I HAVE BEEN RENTING FOR 12 YEARS MY CREDIT SCORE IS 600

Hi my name is **** **** and I am a single disabled and homebound 57yearold Hispanic woman I became disabled due to an unbeknownst genetic defect 16 years ago Prior to that I led a VERY busy life and was active in numerous nonprofit organizations on top of building my career I am accustomed to being an advocate and not having to ask for help BUT That is where I am right now At this stage because there are no hopes for improvement my medical team has encouraged me to have a live in aid This means I have to give up my Independence but I know I must do it So my 38yearold divorced son has offered to be my caretaker A tough decision for both of us especially me because who wants to be a BURDEN on their children as such a young age He has been approved by Section 8 and so I now have a two bedroom voucher The problem is a wellestablished fact A The real estate market is in a crazy place right now I know this because I used to be a licensed realtor Because there is a shortage of rental properties in general but more specifically for disabled people on top of skyrocketing rental prices landlords are NOT willing to accept vouchers at this time B Apparently Section 8 does not have a system set up to where the Payment Standard reflects and can adjust to changes in the market WHAT THIS MEANS I have a two bedroom voucher through the Tucson Housing authority for 1017 and its pretty much meaningless Because I cant find anyone whos willing to take it or if they are willing two bedrooms are CURRENTLY renting for a minimum of 1224 a month AND These are not luxury apartments by any stretch of the imagination they are familiar with working with Section 8 but they themselves told me they havent been successful in the past year because the Payment Standard FOR SECTION 8 IS TOO LOW and therefore they are DENIED by the Housing Authority The LEASE where I live expires August 31st and Ive already been informed by our office manager that she has rented out my apartment which means on top of having to disconnect my soon to be 97 year old Pops from life support yesterday at 335 pm IM ABOUT TO BE HOMELESS PLEASE HELP My voucher expires on 9521 We are hoping to move into a single family home Hoping to avoid having to move into an apartment but at this stage were desperate I would need to have a unit on the ground floor due to my disability Thank you for your careful consideration Sincerely ****

I moved into my current apartment on September 3rd 2011 I have always been a good tenant here and paid my rent on time and I have documentation to support that Thank you

I have a section 8 voucher and really need a place closer to my daughters and for now its only myself and have a lot of pressure to move into my own place a lot depends on this but have been having a really hard time

I have no clue what it would be
