I have lived here for about a year. I am disabled and over age 55. I was given the option to move into a new, upgraded apt at a market rent, which was $799 per month. This includes water and electric. I am on Social Secu rity and fixed income. I cannot work anymore. The management and the new owners are planning on raising my rent to probably $899. That is what they are getting with new people moving in. Though people on the top two floors pay $1000 plus per month. Those apartments have more upgrades.I like my apartment and feel safe living here, but I am upset, because, if they raise my rent, I will not have money for food. The new owners are predators, who own high rent luxury apartments all over the country, and they want to stick it to us, here too. That is the primary reason they bought this place.This place is not worth what they want to charge. There are basically no amenities. We dont even have a washer dryer. The gym is a joke. No pool. The grounds are not well kept. This is a very old building that has a serious problem with roaches and other pests.I advise you to look elsewhere to another place where the owners arent seeing dollar signs. more ... hide ...

This place is infested with alcoholics and drug addiction. Several different owners, property management in less than 12 months is a red flag. Elevator is horrible very unsanitary, grounds are not kept properly. Plumbing is not good. If you make a work order it will be impossible to get your repair done .It should be brought to the publics attention. Discrimination against disabled people is wrong. Taking advantage of the mentally ill is wrong.Property Investment is usually a good thing in this property its discrimination if you request normal repairs .Beware of this dump ! Management is terrible! The City of St. Petersburg should purchase this property and manage it , it has potential but as long as investors keep purchasing it the condition of the property will go into despair ! more ... hide ...
