My parents live here and have not had any ac in their apartment in months They pay on time every month and have to set in a hot apartment with air on full blast and temp still over 80 degrees

The managers and new owners are planning to raise my rent to around $899, which is what they are charging new occupants. Those living on the top two floors are paying $1000 or more a month, as their apartments have more features. While I enjoy living here and feel secure, I am worried that if they raise my rent, I will not have enough money for food. The new owners are investors who own high-priced luxury apartments across the country and they want to take advantage of us here, as well. This place is not worth what they intend to charge, as there are no amenities, no washer/dryer, an inadequate gym, no pool, and the grounds are not taken care of. In addition, this is an old building with a severe roach and pest problem. I recommend that you search for another residence where the owners are not driven by money. more ... hide ...
