Cant comment on the apartment other than where I have been living for around 8 years. I think part of the reason for loss of stars from me and other because there were low quality applicants that got accepted. This isnt a good thing because they are the one that ruin Buena Vista but that totally on them too. Bad people are those that will spoils Buena Vistas image and living condition.If they live in your apartment building, they will liters and brought pets to dropped feces. Apartment took a strong stance threatening to evict for pet. I cant says how you can get approve for allowed pet because better pet owners are likely to know how to do it.Few months ago, one of them vandalize the laundry machine room. While they might not be happy with Buena Vista, taking it out on the laundry room is a low blow and will hurts the community. In other incident, one try to kick down the door. A police came to my door the other day too but left for false alarm. Last 2 Summer, one police did a bullhorn with full urban gear to tell resident to stand down probably for potential shooting. This doesnt happen always. Rent A Cop service have been lacking obviously.If people are angry, they shouldnt kick or break peoples apartment. Period. They should never been allows in the apartment in the first place.Maintenance people crew run a tight ship. They dont show up on time and will make excuse. One time, a toilet was clogged. They came in with a rotor. It was a simple clog that could have been work on myself but that my fault. Their rotor left a mark in the toilet. The sinks drain will break, and their solution is a rubber plug. This is not a proper solution as toothbrush and objects can fall in the sink. It took a year to convince them to replace A/C. If your A/C stopped giving cold air, do not expect them to replace the Freon chemical. They will give excuse and eventually submit to replacing it. At one time, they said that I have to replace it because it is consider \"luxury or (something to discredit your needs\". Dont believe a word. Apartment have Central A/C and Townhome have in-wall A/C, I cant says which one are better. If you are in a Summer time, you have to have running A/C and pedestal fan not the cheap box fan.Regardless of the loss of stars, I cannot says I cannot return to Buena Vista because when you are poor, you cannot afford Elgins outrageous rental value no thanks to politicians raised property tax. Elgin went down hill and would suggest that people should look into moving to Rockford. If anybody living in Elgin that isnt living in rental assistance living, you either have a well paying salary or have asset to sustain Elgins rental value. Poor people can no longer afford Elgin dues to lack of community support. more ... hide ...
