Affordable apartment. Excellent maintenance staff. A few kind neighbors. This building has faulty electrical wiring and destroyed two APC UPS/Surge Protector devices including the one that provided an uninterruptible pow er supply to my CPAP equipment. There is no backup generator, so when electrical outages occur a UPS/Surge Protector is the only protection for your medical equipment. The outages destroyed the UPS/Surge Protector devices but they prevented damage to my medical equipment. The building also has leaky plumbing and the fire suppression system has exploded ruining personal property and furnishings in the bedroom I rented per the previous resident. Damp Rid containers in foyer and bedroom closets have to be replaced every two weeks because they rapidly fill due to excess humidity although leaks cannot be found. Had to dispose of wool coat and clothing destroyed by mold. The repairs to the plumbing system included having a hydraulic pump that removes excess water in random intervals at high decible levels that violently shook the bedroom and bathroom walls and prevented restful sleep and safe bathing. Management did not disclose the plumbing or electrical issues before renting the apartment. Secondhand smoke from tobacco, weed and incense flowed freely through the ventilation system endangering the health of those like myself with lung/respiratory diseases. You cannot control the heat or a/c to your apartment because management turns it on or off per federal guidelines without regard to existing weather conditions; so if its 90 degrees outside when the heat comes on it will be 100+ degrees in your apartment and you cannot turn the heat off or a/c on. Vermin infestation exists and if you live on top floor you can hear them in ceiling and walls, or when they enter your apartment. See security cam video. Fortunately I was still on wait lists for other senior subsidized apartments but unfortunately it took 2 years to secure a better apartment and escape the dangers of living in Coursey Station and six weeks to get back my security deposit. more ... hide ...

Great place for seniors and disabled but the security people at the front desk can be annoying especially at night. There would be people in the hallway in front of the doors like they would be having a party or something ..Very unprofessional more ... hide ...

Ive been in my unit for 10 years Ive seen several managers come and go Ive told each one about the mold that is all through this unit and neither one has not done anything about it yet I be replaced several b eds and furniture. Maintenance is below standards, the units need to be rehabilitated and torn down and rebuilt. They are quick to send you to court for being a day 3 days late however very slow to make repairs if any there are repairs that should have been done when my kids were in school just so you know my children are now 24 and 20 and repairs have not been made yet. I would not let a dog live here. Its sad they receive federal funding yet the living is below substandard. When HUD comes to do inspections maybe they should actually speak to the tenants to really find out what is wrong with these buildings very disgusted and fed up. more ... hide ...

The apartments are nice and big, very quiet neighborhood & neighbors are friendly but management has not done anything about the rat problem on the property that has happened since beginning of spring because of the cons truction. There is a huge rat problem not mice but big city rats all over the community luckily not in the buildings or in apartments as far as i know but i have seen rats go inside peoples cars & running around like its rat city. Its uncomfortable and scary. I have never had a problem with this community until this situation came about. I havent seen any type of pest control to solve this matter besides management getting a cleaning company to clean the hallways. more ... hide ...

Unprofessional and poor customer service from the office receptionist that answered the phone. I made an appointment in advance to tour the facility. When I got there the office lady (dont remember her name) was not in the office during the appointment time. I waited for 30 minutes to take the tour. I called back to reschedule the next day and she told me that there were no apartments to view. She could have told me that when I made the appointment the first time if that was really the truth. more ... hide ...
