I honestly dont recommend anyone to go to YMCA. I was going to Rahway facility to use the pool and I found the water a little cold in many occasions. I was waiting to see if this was fixed, but it wasnt. They men tion a temperature pool in their website, but they dont keep it at that temperature. I also notified the staff members about this, but I didnt see a change. Thats why I decided to cancel my membership at that moment. So one day i called and I was directed to the YMCA director Leonardo from Elizabeth facility to cancel my membership, and it was not easy to speak with him. He was unprofessional. He told me that I would need to come to the facility to sign a paper and that I would be charged an extra month. I asked him, how can you charge me an extra month if I am not happy with the service at YMCA??? I dont want to come back. His answer was I am sorry thats the rule. I was hoping he would understand my situation and let me cancel my membership. I felt I was forced to pay an extra month for a service I didnt like. Can you guys believe it?? Kids run wild with zero rules and play in the road hitting cars with baseballs and footballs, they find it amusing to stand their ground when cars come, make comments about thats what insurance is for, cooperate just pus hes off any on property issues to be handled yourself or by police but they do nothing. Ridiculous. On site management needs more help she keeps trying to fix and improve but the lack of respect from Tennants and their children makes it near impossible to make this place great. I give points to her for trying make this place better as she keeps pushing against the wall of disrespect more ... hide ...
