Our mother lived at Drum Hill for about 6 years and, sadly, recently had to succumb to a nursing home as she required a higher level of care. She absolutely loved living at Drum Hill and our family was comforted knowing how management and staff truly care about the residents, treating them like family.Thank you to Russell, (the best concierge in the world and friend to all); to all of the friendly weekend and evening receptionists; to Tony, (building manager and maintenance guru); to William, (DH bus driver, sometime concierge and all-time friend in need); to Tabitha, (outstanding and meticulous housekeeper and good friend to Mom); to the awesome kitchen staff who treated Mom with such kindness; to Diane and Lynn, (exceptional administrative team); to Joanne, (their creative activities director); Priscilla, (marketing director who identified just the right apartment for our mother); and finally, to Kathy, (executive director) who runs the entire show with finesse.Residents are surrounded by a top notch team. Terrible experience for my fiance and I. We went in to do a rental application in desperate needs of finding a place to live due to my change of jobs. Being that I knew someone whom lived year many years back (which was beautiful at the time)I figured, hey, why not try here since I had a nice experience years back. Went in to do application, than the showed us the unit next door which would be given to me if approved., The unit had MOLD all over the bathroom and bedroom walls. The carpet felt mushy when walking on it as if it hadnt been replaced since this place was first built, and the stove was disgusting. Being that i had faith that they maintenance would clean the place up since they were asking for such high rent, I continued with he application. While in the office doing the application I asked her many questions about the place and I could tell it was making her feel very uncomfortable. Such as, when was the carpet last replaced, was there nay pets living here previously (since I have asthma) what are they going to do about the mold etc since thats the biggest trigger of asthma. I guess with me asking too much and not just accepting it as is like most people probably do. She went ahead and ran both our credits, which left a mark of course. And didnt even call us back though she swore up and down she would by the next day. If you knew you wouldnt be in contact with us, I really wish you wouldnt of ran our credits in acts like you would really consider us though you didnt. Trashy, dirty, and not the same.
