UPDATE: I called attorney generals office and LCAP they said this did not sound right and said it sounded like a scam! I would suggest someone who lives there to ask questions to section 8 office or who ever handles this .I want to know why westview terrace apartments sent out re certification papers on March 19 2020 at around 4pm from the maintenance crew to be filled and sent in no later than March 23rd 2020. What i dont understand is why they dont want you to date it, they want personal info also. Like how much money you have in your pocket, what pharmacy you use and medications you are on etc. And if not filled and sent in no later than March 23rd you could be evicted lose your housing? This smells shady to me!!! more ... hide ...

My son and I moved in just around the end of Nov 2014. Our current apartment was falling apart, and Summit Gardens got me into a clean, functioning apartment I could afford. I was pregnant and ultimately my husband moved in within the next year. We lived in 2 buildings throughout our stay, and both were kept clean and always had repairs done in a timely manner. I never had any issues w bed bugs, however, we did take personal measures to protect our apartment. Summit Gardens and the housing program they offer allowed my husband to go back to school, earn his degree, and find an excellent job and life long career that will always be a means to provide for our family. It allowed me to return to school as well. I think the scale they use to determine rent when you have any kind of income is alittle unfair, however, this isnt intended to be for working families and I understand that once you get on your feet its designed to encourage you to move on and find your own home, and allow the space for someone in need .. we have since bought our own home and moved out, however I have only the best things to say about Louise, the rest of the staff, and the facility as a whole. As a young person, esp w a family.. if you keep to yourself, keep your apartment clean, dont lie about who is living with you and income, you will find a safe place to stay that is affordable while you figure out your future. more ... hide ...
