Applied took me through the process paid everything they asked because I lived with family and I told them that they asked for a landlord reference I explained I dont have a landlord Ive lived with family for a few years was told they would let me know. They sent a landlord reference to family members landlord of course Im not on there we have all at one point of another may have had to get family help stay with them got a letter saying I falsified papers which I didnt I told them up front my living situation so I didnt falsify anything I went to speak to what I thought was the assistant turns out was the manager was told that because I was living with family they couldnt approve me for an apartment. I again explained my living situation than was told because of new owners they had to run extensive background check whatever address comes up is what they used so than I asked who had the final say I was told the lady I was speaking to was the manager of the property who was very rude to say the least than was told compliance hadnt run my background yet which wasnt true because they knew I had a past due bill I had to pay first which I did pay off. So after everything I Said so if I was homeless which technically I am I couldnt apply because I dont have a landlord she said that was correct I could apply agsin but because I dont have a landlord reference I couldnt get an apartment this is the most obsured thing I have heard its based on income I have everything I needed to get the apt but bc I dont have a home or landlord I was turned down so being a single parent who fell on hard times had to stay with family longer than I intended to and because I wasnt put on the lease of my family member they turned me down after everything I did that they asked of me they turned me down which is unfair and even though the Manger had the final say as she said and knowing I didnt falsify paperwork they turned me down I wouldnt recommend these apartment to anyone in real need they had the apartment for myself and my children so we could actually have a home they turned us down more ... hide ...

I moved into regent park apartment in December of 2018. In July 2019 I noticed a mold like substance on two bar stools in the dining room area of my home. I took pictures and contacted management. The manager at the time came in to inspect the unit and gave me a dehumidifier but the unit was not actually treated for the mold until about a month later. By that time the mold spread to my couches, my bed, and all my bedroom furniture, which might I mention had to eventually all be thrown out. I contact management again on 08/28/2019 and unbeknownst the previous manager quit so my complaint was to no avail. I sent a follow up email on 09/13/2019 and again on 09/26/2019 with no response. I sent yet another follow up email on 10/09/2019 a finally got a response from the current manager stating that they were ready to move me to a new unit. I finally moved into my new unit about a week and a half later. When I asked if there would be any compensation for the furniture that has been ruined due to the mold they said take it up with your renters insurance. needless to say there was no financial compensation, or empathy at the very least. I recently called corporate and spoke with Courtney in regards to a late fee that was suddenly changed from $35 to $75 without any notification to the residents. When asked when the change took effect she said \"I dont know someone in corporate decided to do it\". She then became extremely rude and unprofessional and said \"what is it that you dont understand\" so I requested to speak with a supervisor as I felt she could not adequately explain when and why this change took place. she stated \"Ill have someone call you\" and hung up in my face. The management is extremely unprofessional and unorganized and I would not recommend anyone to stay here. more ... hide ...

Ms. Tonya the Community Manager and I didnt start off on a good foot because I was so frustrated with the last management company before she came. However, Ms. Tonya has brought the community together here on Garners Fer ry Road. She has been very helpful to me as well as understanding and very patient with me. She is very stern but professional. She is very much needed at Harbour Landing because she truly cares about the community and the residents. more ... hide ...
