If I could post with no stars, then they would have just that no stars. Im a resident at Rainey Property (Scott Plaza) to be exact. We have been without A/C since the middle of April 2022, management for Scott Plaza (Ken dy Guzman) hasnt been in office since the middle or end of April as well. The residents at 4100 Barberry Dr, never received a notice as to what was going on with our air conditioning towers; up until residents started complaining and calling the city. Then on June 15th, 2022 after i had done purchased a window unit for $154.00 ($166.71 with tax), the manager from Kings Row (another Rainey Property) printed up a letter stating that they \"Once again apologize\" to the residents for not having air conditioning in our units. They stated that a \"Special part\" was ordered 2 weeks ago prior to June 15th when they sent out a noticed to all residents. They sent out multiple letters to keep track of what they told us, because before June 15th we NEVER received any notices pertaining to the AC tower being broke. I left a review once, however it was taking down Im pretty sure I know why. All and all, I speak for the residents here at Scott Plaza Apartment Homes, we are suffering. Although portable units were ONLY PROVIDED to resident whom didnt go out and purchase window units, only one part of the residents apartments is cooling off. You basically have to choose between upstairs of downstairs, in order to keep your unit cool. Not only the air conditioning being a problem, management for Scott Plaza is an issue as well. We have no one actually working in office for Scott Plaza residents, we havent received a noticed pertaining to whether or not we will have someone new. When we try to pay rent, request paperwork or have any questions pertaining to our lease (per some residents Ive talked too, including myself) we are placed on hold, the line goes to voicemail or the office doors are locked. The office has been either closing early or not open to the public and residents have grown frustrated at the current situation not knowing what to do or whom to call. People have called CORPORATE, the City of Houston has came out on several occasions. Im not looking to gain nothing more from this but communication or assist with moving to other properties we have applied to (such as myself is on the waitlist for 2 public housing apartments). Im sure this will get taking down as well like my previous post, but just know Ill post if I have to.Best Regards. more ... hide ...

Nicely updated interior within the apartment, good value for the location. But management negates all of the good. Completely unresponsive to emails and calls. Maintenance is hard to get a hold of and doesnt fix thin gs properly. The soundproofing between apartments is basically nonexistent. If you live on the first floor, you will be able to hear everything your upstairs neighbors do. I would avoid this property at all cost. more ... hide ...

I have absolutely loved this apartment complex from the jump. Office and maintenance is AMAZING. Office is always very friendly, inviting, and quick to reply. Maintenance has always come within less than an hour to fix a ny type of apartment issues. They will always greet you with a smile and are so polite and friendly whether it be them fixing something in your apartment or passing by. I literally cant even expresss how much I love this complex. Neighbors are also very friendly which is a huge plus. The complex is so calm. Its amazing for kids as well. I have absolutely no complaints and couldnt be more thankful. I would 100% recommend to everyone. more ... hide ...

Now if they just knew that the section 8 housing allowances that they have to fill have been recently filled by somebody I know to be a little bit of a slob and, well, lets just say his previous living accommodations were left in shambles.
