Amazing staff all the way around. The office staff, especially Mandy, are very helpful and knowledgeable. Maintenance man ,Stan, is also very prompt and helpful. Ive had one maintenance emergency very early in the mo rning and they were at my door within 20 minutes. Ive read a couple bad reviews when it comes to staff but I have yet to witness any of the negative. The grounds are kept clean and safe. Ive been here for six months and its been great. Not to mention theres an abundance of restaurants and retail stores very close. Also very pet friendly and theres even a gated doggy-park. Neighborhood is surrounded with sidewalks as well for walking your pet. If I absolutely HAD to make one complaint, it would be that theres no bathroom downstairs. But that also MAKES me get some much needed exercise. Kudos to the staff. Job well done!!! more ... hide ...

eh very rude tone.I did not feel welcomed, I felt like I was being bothersome.USUALLY when I call properties with no availability, the leasing person politely apologizes and asks when I plan on moving ---this woman did n ot. I will never call again. I only gave 1 star because I had to rate so that I can post this. more ... hide ...

The Good, the Bad and the UglyThe Good:Location- Legends of Virginia Center Apartments are located just north of Richmond where I95, I64 and I295 meet. There are many places to shop and eat within minutes. It is a great location to travel to Fredericksburg/D.C. or to anywhere in the Richmond/Tri-Cities areas.Application and rental process- This went fairly smoothly for me. The staff was very responsive and helpful during my move. The neighborhood itself is fairly quiet besides the occasional load vehicle. The Bad & The Ugly:The first thing that I noticed was the lack of lighting in the apartment. There are no lights in the master bedroom, 2nd bedroom or the living room area. The lights were probably there once upon a time because the wiring and light switches are present. The light fixtures were removed and covered with a plate. The lack of lighting makes the apartment less desirable and adds to the cost of living for residents who have to go buy lamps to provide adequate lighting.I didnt notice the windows until another resident pointed it out to me. The windows are very low quality. I can feel a cold breeze coming through all of the windows because they are not sealed properly. The resident was told by the staff that it is the residents responsibility to cover/treat the windows. This is also another thing that will increase the cost of living for residents because these units are not very energy efficient which increases heating/cooling costs. These windows also have a great deal of condensation buildup on the inside. This condensation freezes on the inside of the windows on cold days and drips down to the window sills causing water damage to the paint, wood and drywall. Most of the surfaces in my apartment show signs of heavy wear and tear. In my opinion, this points to the owners/maintenance philosophy of only repairing the bare minimum to make the unit livable.I also believe that the construction quality of these apartments is very low not just because of the windows but, outside walls may be lacking the proper insulation. On cold days the outside walls are very cold. Not to mention the amount of sound that resonates through the floors.Lastly, the mailboxes that are centrally located are in a serious need of repair. My concern with this is that it looks like the majority of the large package boxes have been broken into and this may reduce the Post Offices ability to deliver oversized packages in a secure way. When I asked about this shortly after moving in, I was told that they were going to be repaired. I have been here almost 3 months and no repairs have been made. more ... hide ...

For over a year I have tried to get front door fixed. I was told I need a new door because this door is too small. They claim they ordered a new door. No one came to measure door to order new door. I moved into this ren ovated apartment June 30, 2021. I told them about door a few days later. Maintenance came in. They stuck fiber on door frame to hide gap. Did not work. There is a safety issue in many levels. Gap in door is so large anyone can stick anything in door to open it. I have lizards and bugs I have never seen and rats and mice coming thru door constantly. I have called, emailed, sent photos. No one is doing anything. more ... hide ...
