I owned my own home in Porterville for 6 years I paid space rent that went from 475 to over 700 in the time I lived there I was diagnosed with breast cancer the day before California went on lockdown for covid so all the services available before that day disappeared No help available Then gas prices Exploded I had to make a 78 mile round trip 5x a week for treatment I live on a fixed income of 1200 This must cover housing utilities Food So I was faced with a choice get treatment or anything else really I dont drive so it cost me 40 a day for rides The owners of the mobile home park said theyd work with me but refused to accept rent when I paid it Mailed it back to me then evicted me so they could keep my home Luckily I was offered this apartment in the nick of time The park got a free #*#*# hidden# home and life moved along I am all straightened out financially now
