We are a family of 5 with 2 cats in need of housing We have a 4 bedroom section 8 voucher that expires November 14 but it can be extended We are currently in a Sarasota Housing Authority apartment but its about to be torn down and we must vacate by December #*#*# hidden# We have a modest moving expense stipend and our voucher has portability provided we move to an area where the Housing Authority accepts it The Sarasota Housing Authority will also pay the required deposit before we move in Our head of household is a single Mom age 40 with 3 children ages 17 7 and 3 two girls and a boy respectively The oldest is on the autistic spectrum working hard on her high school diploma The middle child is a second grade social butterfly but struggles with an undiagnosed learning disability Both girls have an emotional support pet the cats The youngest is a very typical 3 year old boy consumed with prek curiosity and dinosaur hunting Im the coapplicant the retired grandmother age 64who helps supervise the kids while Mom works from home for Willis Towers Watson and attends school Moms currently enrolled in a Masters program studying Acupuncture at the East West College of Natural Medicine Our goal as a family has been for Mom to get through school so wed like to stay in the SarasotaBradenton area If we move out of the area there would have to be a school within commuting distance where she could finish her last year and take her boards We could be comfortable in a 3 bedroom if it had a den or bonus room but the voucher would only cover up to the 3 bedroom limit

Weve been blessed with this subsidized apartment for the last two and a half years Our credit scores fluctuate within the fair range Our combined income including SSDI child support and earnings is around 4100 per month and I believe our portion of rent would be roughly one third of that Honestly Im not comfortable giving detailed financial information as the section 8 process has been riddled with scams thus far Further information verification will be forthcoming when we reach the actual application paperwork
