Im desperately seeking a place that we can call home Currently my husband and I are homeless and have been since the middle of October Ive been having trouble finding rental property thats safe and affordable Im working with an organization called Doorways which will pay for application fee deposit and up to the first 3 months rent which then Ill be rolled over to Section 8 Im on SSI Disability and my husband is waiting for a decision on his case so were on a very limited income We pay our bills on time at the first of each month I have a older small dog and a cat We are open to any type of housing as long as its a safe place to live thats the only thing Im asking for Im 59 and have cancer my husband is 55 and has chronic COPD Weve been staying between our daughters house and a friends place and I feel about to wear out our welcome Were ready to move in a place ASAP

For the past 2 12 years we were living with an elderly lady that had the first stages of Dementia I was paying #*#*# hidden# a month for rent along with buying food and all our essentials In exchange for more rent I cared for cooked cleaned or whatever was needed for the elderly lady Her extended family decided that we no longer needed to be there because they were putting her in a nursing home so we had 3 days to vacate the property My husband has a misdemeanor charge from 17 years ago for family violence which was an argument that he and his ex brother inlaw had words were exchanged but no bodily harm was done to either but nevertheless the police were called by a neighbor and my husband went to jail But like I said that was 17 years ago and hes never been arrested or in any kind of trouble since Our credit isnt very good due to outstanding medical bills for the both of us
