Let me start by saying that The Pointe at Kilpatrick is a Godsend. From the staff to the facility appearance and cleanliness its definitely help put my brother and my mind at ease. When we were told that my father would need 24/7 care last year, I did everything in my power to prevent my father from going into a nursing facility because of the stories Ive heard. Last November was when my brother and I had to start the rushed process of finding a facility for my father, because the VA couldnt help him anymore medically. We put our father in a facility in Evanston that we honestly didnt visit and we went based off of the reviews. When we arrived to the facility and took him to his room I bursted into tears because I felt as if I had failed him. We hadnt toured the other location. Lets just say Im big on cleanliness, and I knew he wouldnt be in the last facility long because of the long commute and the poor upkeep.Fast forward to the earlier part of this year I begin my search to find another facility for my father. You know the saying third times a charm, well this is what The Pointe was for us. When I called to inquire, I was helped by Angie. Lets just say, her lets get this ball rolling energy was all I needed. Everything just fell into place. When my father came to do the tour he loved it, which helped out a lot. We moved him in not long after we got our tour. We were going to move in at the beginning of March, but got the ok to move my father in the second week of February. Again I cant express how helpful the staff were and still are. My mom and I were able to come the day before to set everything up before my brother got there and as we were heading to the apartment we were helped by Willie who is absolutely awesome as well. He insisted on helping as much as he could while having slight back pain which had a knee prior I would have waited for my brother to get there. He helped along with bed placement and the TV mount. Its amazing how pleasant everyone is. So far my dad has only been there almost a week and absolutely adores the place which puts myself and my brother at ease. So please if you are considering placement for your love ones I think its safe to say they will be fine at the Pointe. more ... hide ... Making a rental inquiry
