So Im sitting in my current driveway pondering what actions to take against these people Monday morning I call at 8:30am to inquire about the 3 bedroom they had on Craigslist for rent I asked if the apartment was still available and the lady told me yes which now I thinking is the property manager because now every time I call shes the one answering the phone she told me the property manager was not in but would be in Tuesday so look out for a email from her I went ahead and filled out the application on the site that was $40.00 the site charged me a convenience fee of $3.00 which was strange because I read the application fee is $35.00 and why was I being charged a convenience fee that was my first warning as told the property manager Carol emailed me and asked for my pay stubs, social, and drivers license I complied with her request she then sent me a email asking me what was I looking for I responded a 3 bedroom please second warning because I stated on my application that I wanted the 3 bedroom 2 bath she there was some mix up with my pay stubs so I called in to clear the air and Carol the property manager told me I would hear from here Wednesday I said ok now Wednesday came and Im expecting to hear from her but I didnt so I called her a little after 2pm she answered the phone and told me she sent me a email asking what was I looking for and when was I looking to move smh again I responded a 3 bedroom and the first of August thats when the truth came out she didnt have a 3 bedroom according to her someone had just put a deposit on the up coming 3 bedroom but she has a 2 bedroom 1.5 bath town home coming up in August sounds a little funny dont you think I told her let me think about it give me until today Thursday this morning I called her back and told her lets make a deal Ill take the 2 bedroom and the moment a 3 bedroom become available I would transfer into it she responded its a $400 fee to transfer and I would have to wait 6 month before transferring at first I agreed and got dress to head to go pay the deposit which she said was $900 that took me back because if the 3 bedroom is $975 how is a 2 bedroom $900 I walked to my car and and sat in it for over a hour processing everything what she said these people are a scam I went back to read the reviews and Im glad I didnt take my tail down there to give them my hard working money bad enough they got me for $43 in these times places are hard to get but I refuse to jump out of hot water and into the fire I will not keep being taken for a fool something similar happened to me at Hiltin Place apartments yall be careful more ...

This is the worst apartment complex. If I could give it 0 stars, I would. I should have listened to the warnings about this apartment. First things first, when I first moved to Village Walk, my apartment wasnt even ready. The maintenance man was in there and the door wasnt even closed. First thing I noticed was the smell, which I later learned was a leak in the apartment that had just been concealed by the so called renovations. The second thing I noticed was how unprofessional and unresponsive Sharon, who was the property manager, was. I mean, the woman sent a friend request to me on social media and posted everyday but still couldnt respond. Lets get into the issues.- Black mold. Contacted the leasing office 12 times and nobody returned my email nor call. I ended up getting sick and had to pay for a resolution to the mold- The wood is really laminate wood so unfortunately, it developed humps in the flooring.- It was unsafe. The outside of the apartments look like a dump and attract all types of people. My neighbors door was kicked in, my car was vandalized on more than one occasion. I had to pay for security cameras and other security measures. I wasnt given a mailbox key duringthe entire duration of my lease, although I asked over 100 times. As a result, Ive had my mail stolen. Packages stolen. I had to start sending my mail elsewhere.- There were extreme pest problems. From spiders to ants. The spiders were the worst. Ive counted over 70 spiders (separate occasions). Nobody did anything so I paid for pest control. Its funny because after 6 months of ignoring me, I actually received a random visit from pest control but surprise surprise, they knocked once and then immediately left.- My laundry room had no door and they refused to fix it. You could literally look into my guest bathroom from the laundry room even if the bathroom door was shut.- Maintenance was unprofessional. I guess if you dont sleep with them or entertain them, you cant get service.- My guest bedroom ceiling caved in partially near the window and I had to get it fixed myself because they wouldnt.- I had to sell my car because magically, they put a notice saying theyd tow it. Mind you, this was after me living there for almost a year with no issues.- They come into your apartment without notice. Ive had to buy a Charlie bar to prevent that.Theres so much more I could say but I will leave it at this...The apartment is not worth it. When I first moved in, I thought the outside was the only thing bad but boy, it didnt take long for that to change. Theres better apartments. Id give this one a no honestly.I can verify everything Im saying and am working with a lawyer on this matter. more ...
