My mother, who has been living in Patterson for many years, has not had proper heat or repairs for over a decade. Despite trying to work with the unprofessional staff at NYCHA for 40 years, I eventually decided to take them to court. This was a tiring and lengthy process, and though I won the arbitration, nothing was actually fixed to an acceptable standard. To make matters worse, the rent office staff are harassing me and we have an infestation of mice. I have attempted to contact NYCHA electronically, but the only response I have received is that they have acknowledged my message. I will not stop fighting for my elderly mother, and I honestly believe that those who work for NYCHA should be ashamed. Rojas is a name that NYCHA will never forget; I am coming for them, with or without legal assistance, and I may very well die while doing so. Despite my three silent heart attacks, NYCHA has not made any effort to work with me in good faith. My fight is not over yet! more ... hide ...
