The Emersons Los Angeles is every downtowners dream of living in DTLA The building is nice the pool the fitness area and the common area penthouse are nice amenities There is a small dog run with bags and an area for grooming The Board Museum the MoCThe Emersons Los Angeles is every downtowners dream of living in DTLA The building is nice the pool the fitness area and the common area penthouse are nice amenities There is a small dog run with bags and an area for grooming The Board Museum the MoCA California Plaza and the Walt Disney Concert Hall are steps from you I really like the 24hr concierge the free tea and coffee I love my view from my apartmentnnThis review alone is based on the management office of whom were not present when I signed my lease It is not about the building and actual apartment alone as I really love living herennThe Senior General Manager Emma Toy may seem genuinely nice on the outside however very different on the inside Living at the Emerson it is your sheer luck with the neighbors you get and how management handles those complaints Not with Emma ToynnIt started when I adopted a Golden Retriever named Bronco on September 28 2017 from the SPCA Long Beach Shelter A lot of neighbors were happy for me and congratulated me and even told me thank you for rescuing him Then the weirdest complaints started to happennnMy dog would bark for a mere 1020 seconds when someone would pass by my door another dog was barking in the hallway or someone would slam his or her door loud Keep in mind I live next to the elevator so people pass by my door all the time This is attributed to natural dog behavior and when I am actually home and witness this myself I would totally tell my dog to be quiet like any responsible pet owner The Emerson is advertised as a petfriendly building My dogs barking is not enough to justify being a nuisance to apartment livingnnThe complaints happened in bizarre times like 10 am on a Sunday or when I would go down to the grill at 6 pm start the grill and cook my meal During this time someone walks by my door I come back upstairs to my apartment to put away some supplies and head back to wait for the elevator to attend the grill When the elevator comes I come face to face with the concierge I looked wideeyed The concierge saw the dog was no longer barking This is was an extremely weird occurrence and only 4 minutes has passed Why did the neighbor feel the need to complain then wait for it to pass There have been numerous occasions when this particular neighbor would call to complain about my dog and concierge comes up and checks and hear nothing So if you have a dog and want to live at the Emerson be very upfront because neighbors here like to complain about this nonsense I even had a neighbor call to complain about the dog barking for a matter of seconds on Thanksgiving Day Emma Toy herself says animal control wont do anything Actually with Los Angeles city law 10 minutes straight of barking constitutes a violation not 10 secondsmore ...hide ...
