My mother had been living in the old building for more than 30 years, so she deserved the new apartment. After some difficulty, they finally gave her one. My nephew and I lived peacefully with her until the water started leaking from the ceiling; it took them ages to fix it. Parking was also always an issue. They then tried to move me to a separate apartment and gave me a lease to sign and the apartment number. But, they changed their mind and told me I made too much money to have my own apartment and that I should stay with my mom. I decided to move out and they said I could never come back, almost as if I were a criminal. They also said I should pay the rent before I left, which was $900. This place is supposed to be low-income housing, but they are raising the rent which people cannot afford. It is really sad that they lie and do not help those who live there.more ...hide ...

She lives on the 13th floor and is elderly. The stairwells are dark and unlit. By law, there is supposed to be emergency lighting for these exact situations. I work in property management and know the laws. There is no excuse for this. Young people shouldn€™t have to put up with this let alone elderly folks who can barely make it down one flight of stairs let alone in the dark.more ...hide ...
