I lived in these apartments from 2005 to 2007 when they were owned by Ingleside and rented out to Connections and West End Neighborhood House I understand they have been renovated and there is different management but be weary When I lived there I haI lived in these apartments from 2005 to 2007 when they were owned by Ingleside and rented out to Connections and West End Neighborhood House I understand they have been renovated and there is different management but be weary When I lived there I had to take the bus to and from work and wearing my work uniforms tee shirts and jeans or polos and jeans men would drive by and proposition me and gunfire was a nightly occurrence nearby The buildings themselves had mold the areas above the windows leaked horribly not listed as one of the renovations and there were a few months where many of us had no heat because the heaters were broken Other times we had no AC from broken AC Units It was also not unusual to hear the neighbors getting it on during the day The fire alarm was a daily occurrence The Refrigerator went out in my unit resulting in me getting food poisoning as I didnt notice plus Id be mopping water up from it leaking out of the bottom of the fridge on the daily basis I understand this is low cost housing but if possible try to get into the Next Step programs with Connections instead where you can find a safer place than this There is no reason for low income individuals to live in dangerous areas that are poorly maintained There is no excuse for poorly maintaining a property if you cant maintain a rental unit for a tenant you dont need to own the property why I will not rent from MorningStar Properties nor Ingerman ever again There was also a night club across the street when I was there but I do not know if its still there PS they claim they offer a tot lot theres not enough space on the lot for any childrens playground although there is a county owned playground nearby As stated I dont know if Connections fixed the building issues they may have but the neighborhood is a pretty big issue in that areamore ...hide ...
