If you're looking for a budget-friendly place to live, this is it. It's a great experience if you like going out and partying and coming back home to unwind. The walls are very thick, so never any noise issues. One thing to note is, before moving in make sure everything is in perfect condition: hardwood floors cleaned, dryer functioning, stove plugged in and make sure they clean behind the stove and fridge as well as the front of the doorways. The only other thing to consider is the amount of children here - I'm 19, and my flatmates are around the same age. I haven't had a problem with the number of kids living here, but if you don't like children, this is a low-income housing and there are a lot of low-income families living here. UNIVERSITY PARK, PLEASE FIX THE GATES, ESPECIALLY GATE 2 WHICH NEEDS TO BE UNLOCKED. Security is very important to us, since we all have new cars, and one of the main reasons we moved here was because of the price and the gated area. Initially, our dealings with University Park went smoothly, and Melody in the office was very helpful. After that, the service deteriorated rapidly. We were contacted two days after receiving our lease, and they informed us they were changing our unit, and that we should expect another lease in two days. We called multiple times and went in person, but had to beg for it. We received the lease two business days before our move-in date, so we had to go without gas for a few days. We were only provided one key for a three bedroom, two bath apartment, and were told they had no idea when the shipment of keys would arrive. When we moved in, the place was disgustingly dirty, as if no cleaning had been done. Other issues included a faulty kitchen faucet that leaked across the counter when left on for more than five seconds, a beeping smoke detector, non-functioning outlets, nails protruding from the floor, two out of three bedroom lights not working, and other maintenance problems. We put in a work order three days ago and have yet to hear back. We currently have to wash our dishes in the bathroom.
