The appliances were of poor quality, noisy, and not very effective. She had to add vinegar to each dishwasher load to keep them from being covered in a white substance due to the hard water, which even caused her skin to dry out so badly that she got excema. There was insufficient space in the washer & dryer for any items, and the water level was too low. The oven cooked too hot or too slow depending on the food. The A/C hotel-style unit was so loud that she had to turn it off to be able to watch TV. This complex allows animals and one would observe them defecating and urinating in the hallways and the owners just kept going. The walls are extremely thin, resulting in hearing noise constantly. The lighting is terrible and you are only able to use their light bulbs and not your own. They raised her rent each year quite a bit until she was not able to afford it anymore. When she left she cleaned the apartment perfectly, the next occupant could have moved in immediately and yet they still kept half of her deposit to paint, clean, and shampoo the carpets. I do not comprehend why anyone would clean or paint an apartment that does not need it, with no marks on the walls, which causes me to think it was not really done. I can understand a carpet cleaning fee since everyone wants a clean apartment when they move in. DO NOT MAKE THE MISTAKE OFmore ...hide ...
